==History==
swf.cpcheats.info, part of a Club Penguin cheats forum and blog, was a great place to get SWFs, until it was taken down in December 2010. [[User:Refractor|Refractor]] compressed a [[Project:Mirror|copy of the site]] before the shut down, and [[User:Tux|Tux]] uploaded the mirror to the server and created the '''Club Penguin Archives Wiki''' as part of the (then just a month old) ''Club Penguin Wiki Network''. 

[[User:ClubPenguinMaster|ClubPenguinMaster]] was one of two administrators and was the main editor on Archives for years, until mid-2012, when a few new users from the network started to edit. Around June and July 2012, new users started to join Archives, and the SWF count on the wiki began to increase. In September, [[User:Cp kid|Cp kid]] and [[User:Nando144|Nando144]] became administrators, and [[User:Mario Rk|Mario Rk]] won the rights after a vote in November. Along with the "revived" administration, many new things came to light on Archives. One of the notable things that came to light was the "foreign language project", which urged users to upload SWFs of ''all'' languages rather than just English. By November and December, Archives had a small but active community. Also, to give the wiki a "fresh new look", it was renamed to '''Club Penguin Archives''' (dropped the "wiki"), received a fresh new main page, and even a new logo designed by Cp kid (with elements made by Wboys14) for the wiki's second anniversary. One other significant change in Archives was the promotion of Archives' first bureaucrat (ClubPenguinMaster) at Cp kid's request to CPWN staff so the staff wouldn't have to promote and demote everyone on Archives anymore. Unfortunately, ClubPenguinMaster had fallen inactive, and was demoted a few months later via community vote. Cp kid then also resigned in April 2014 and [[User:Juca|Juca]] replaced him in May. A year after that, in May 2015 we expanded from archiving just [[clubpenguinwiki:.swf|SWFs]] to archive also [[JSONs]] and [[clubpenguinwiki:Club Penguin (app)|Club Penguin App's Files]].
